Together in a Room
Katie Schwab at Collective

On Wednesday 9 of March 2016 we joined artist Katie Schwab for an artist tour at Collective, Edinburgh. In this lunchtime tour, Katie talked about the books that have influenced her current exhibition, Together in a Room.. This show is the culmination of research undertaken by Katie as Associate Producer for Satellites Programme 2016, which explores the politics of, and relationships between, craft, design, housing and education. Katie discussed how this selection of books have informed her thoughts around ideas of oral history, domestic design, craft education and pattern construction.
