It feels like a very quickly made book, wanting to respond to a current need on writing about libraries but without going deep in the topic. There is an interview with David Pearson opening the book, and although always interesting to learn from his thoughts this also feels not really well edited.

I think it can be a good read if you are not familiar with the topic.

It has a nice extensive colophon, detailing not just the type: FF Quadraat (designed by Fred Smeijers) if not also the kind of paper used.

This book is part of Speaking Volumes reading list and an important reference for this project.
